Default Asterisk Server, Intel or AMD

I am getting ready to build a dedicated Asterisk Server to support up to 30 concurrent users (SIP, G729). I was going to use an AMD processor (sempron or even Venice) I see snippets here and there discouraging the use of AMD for Asterisk. Any advice on a processor?

Moussa

I am using both in my test builds and see no difference. I just like the AMD better.
