Default Asterisk MOH problem

Hello, I have installed asterisk 1.2.13 1.2.13~dfsg-2 on debian etch 4.0. Everything is fine except moh when the call is coming from outside (PSTN, GSM) and press hold on phone the music is choppy. In every other situation i.e. the is from our network or the calls is in queue of asterisk moh is fine? Can someone point to to possible cause of problem? Thanks!

I'm no expert, but make sure the MoH is available for the codec used between Asterisk and the PSTN/GSM gateway (eg. if they settled on using a/u-law, make sure the sound files are available in that format, so that Asterisk doesn't need to do any conversion).
