I have sipura 3000 configured for broadvoice. I also have asterisk and FWD with FXO interface connected to PSTN line. I didn't configure my bv via asterisk because i don't wanna lose calls if my linux box is down. Here is what i want to do.

I would like to dialout via bv when i am outside. I know that sipura 3k support that via pin. But i would like to use more interactive way (IVR) and more pin numbers for password and from any phone (SPA 3k restrict that)..etc...

so, i would like to call my PSTN which will picked up by * and it should give bv dialtone. I donno how to connect my * to spa3k to get the dialtone after some validation in *. I searched all the forums and googled but nothing there. Please guide me geeks....

In any one system there can be but one master. If you want your SPA3000 to own your BV line you will need to program that service into the PSTN Line side of the box and as gw1 of the same box. Then, the only way to use the BV service is to dial in to the POTS line connected to the SPA-3000, enter your PIN and dial out. Incoming BV calls will not ring anywhere unless you invoke Call Forwarding in BV to send these calls to another phone number (like your IPKall number attached to your FWD account).

If you put your BV number on your Asterisk you can use all of the features of Asterisk to route inbound and outbound calls. It's your choice.
