| I'm hoping that someone here can help me. Like a lot of people, dialing out of Asterisk to Broadvoice broke this week. I've read dozens of posts and tried every config option. I register just fine and can receive incomming calls. This morning I tried updating Asterisk with "cvs update asterisk", and later "cvs checkout -r v1-0_stable asterisk". After both re-compiles, the result is the same. In every case on an outbout call Asterisk sends an Invite, gets a 401, and sends an ACK instead of sending another Invite with the proper credentials. Same BV accound and password work fine with an SPA3000. I see a number of posts on various forums where some people have it working and others don't with same sip.conf. Something I don't understand is going on here. Also, when I run "show version" I get "Asterisk CVS-03/07/05-15:05:35. . ." not a version number. I have not tried the BV patch as it's supposed to be in the latest builds. thanks for your help, Brian |

| Yes they changed it so that you have to have the secret="insert your password" in your sip.conf file. This is a change from the way you had to do things before. If you need more help or info pm me I can show you what to do. |

| I've been running 1.0.5 with BroadVoice and it works fine. Version 1.0.6 is out now. There are official builds of Asterisk that you can get at: ftp://ftp.asterisk.org/pub/asterisk/ The big thing BroadVoice changed was required INVITES to be authenticated. You must have: secret=PASSWORD authname=PHONENUM in the broadvoice section not just having the credentials in the register. Hope that helps. - |Daryll |
