Default AMP for Astlinux image under VMware player

Hi guys,
I'm trying to setup an Asterisk machine by opening an Astlinux image under VMware player. It's all good, it opens and I can login.
Now, VMware is creating two virtual IP's and I don't know how to access AMP.
I've read somewhere about a generic https://192.168.101.1/ but it doesn't work. I tried the two virtual IP's, also the IP of the phisical network card....same result.
Do I have to to anything after login, to activate AMP ?
When I type ifconfig eth0 it doesn't list any IP, like no IP is assigned to the Astlinux.
The same problem I got when I tried an A@H image.
When booting on a Kasterx live cd, everything works fine, I can access AMP and setup all that I need.
I want to keep this under Windows, under VMware player, because all my machines are Windows and my trafic is very light (it's not worth to dedicate a PC for Linux). I found a PBX software under Windows and it works excelent (Axon) but it doesn't support my X100P, so I have to use one of the Asterisk options.
A little help from someone who did these things before me would be greately appreciated.
Thanks guys.

Just guessing but you probably have to run netconfig. I don't think DHCP out of the box will work in a VMware image environment (only played with it for a few minutes).

Hope this helps

Astlinux does not recognize that command, I tried.
How else can I assign the IP to the Astlinux image ?
Any other ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks for the fast reply.
